Todd Mokos, LCSW

Todd Mokos, LCSW is the founder of MindVault Health, PLLC and holds a Master of Social Work degree from the Jane Addams College of Social Work at UIC. With over a decade of professional mental health experience, he has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, hospitals, nursing homes, the DuPage County Health Department, juvenile probation, the Aurora public school system, and private sector Medicaid managed care.

An expert in a breadth of treatment modalities and populations, Todd specializes in working with adults and adolescents experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, high-functioning psychosis, substance addiction, and more. He primarily utilizes elements of mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to empower clients with essential skills to overcome challenges and lead enriched, fulfilling lives.

Todd’s treatment philosophy places mindfulness — the act of being aware of one’s internal processes and environment — at the center of recovery. Through a continuous process of empathic collaboration, he skillfully teaches clients to harness the power of mindfulness to discover and embrace their values, defuse from maladaptive thought patterns, and channel motivation to set and pursue meaningful goals.

Todd is a son, brother, and values spending time with his family and friends. In his spare time, Todd is a musician and enjoys writing, recording, and performing piano and guitar compositions. He enjoys baseball, biking, yoga, meditation, and chess, and is active in the cryptocurrency community, having previously written for Bitcoin Magazine.
